IndusInd Bank partners with SunTec to roll out GST
SunTec offers its Flagship ‘Xelerate for GST’ end-to-end solution to help the Bank become GST compliant. IndusInd Bank has partnered with SunTec Business Solutions to facilitate in computing and invoicing of Debit Tax and Credit Tax. This partnership would be targeted to enable IndusInd Bank with a smooth transition with the various drafts of the GST Act and provide uninterrupted service to its customers.
This announcement comes at a crucial juncture when India has just rolled out a historic reform on 1st July 2017 – the GST Act – shedding a complex, multiple-tax system in favour of a simple, unified one.
SunTec’s Xelerate for GST is uniquely designed to be an over-the-top (OTT) solution which easily integrates into IndusInd Bank’s existing IT Landscape. This ‘out-of-the-box’ solution can be nimbly configured and will enable banks and financial institutions become GST ready.
As a part of the agreement, for the computation of GST liability of the Bank, SunTec will help in analysing data from various sources for tax computation and invoicing purposes including tax segregation, tax accounting, generating tax invoice and all process involved in data filing for return management. The Credit Tax Scope would involve extraction of expense information in the computation of input services, computation of input tax credit, calculation of reverse charge tax, inter-branch transactions, invoicing and taking the date to GST extracts.

It is a competition wherein riders enjoy a near-2000km adventure ride, mostly ridden off-road. Along the way they compete in a series of challenges that are consistent with the BMW GS lifestyle and designed to exercise their intellectual, riding and navigation skills, their knowledge of, and ability to live in, the natural world – and their ability to come together as a team.
The Indian national will be held every two years in India. The Indian national qualifier is open to all non-professional BMW GS Motorcycle riders. The Indian national qualifier typically replicates the challenges of the International GS Trophy and will be multi-day competition with riders scoring points, leading to a final where the top scorers will compete for the three team positions.
The winning team of the Indian national qualifier will compete against teams from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Latin America, Mexico, Russia, Southeast Asia, South Africa, South Korea, United Kingdom and United States of America at the BMW Motorrad International GS Trophy – Central Asia 2018 in Mongolia.

The following regulations apply
- Participants are required to hold a valid driver’s license (at the time of the event).
- Every participant needs to take part in the GS Trophy Qualifier with any BMW GS model which has to be registered to the participant.
- The bike has to be in good technical condition. The organisers are entitled to exclude vehicles that are obviously defective.
- All riders must be dressed completely in suitable rider gear that is in good condition.

- Participants of former Int. GS Trophies
- Staff members of BMW AG and BMW NSCs
- Proprietors of a BMW dealership
- Instructors who work for BMW Motorrad
- Holders of a motorcycle racing license

We have all relished them at one point or other in our lives.The confectionery industry has gone a sea change over the years and has now started demanding for packaging that besides protecting the product also imparts stunning looks to it.
With this problem statement at hand the Films Business of India’s largest multinational flexible packaging materials and Solutions Company Uflex Limited has engineered Low Opacity, Good Gloss White Anti-static Twist Wrap Polyester Film FLEXPETTM F-WTG-AS. This bi-axially oriented polyethylene terephthalate (BOPET) Film as the name suggests is low opaque/ translucent and has good gloss.
Talking about this new film Mr. J.K. Sharma, DGM Technical Service and New Product Development (Films) at Uflex said, “Converters catering to candy /confectionery brands had been asking for a white glossy substrate with low opacity for imparting superior aesthetics to their packaging!The daunting challenge, however, was that, if you make a white opaque film the gloss quotient goes down. Owing to our special proprietary resin formulation we have been able to engineer a white background film which is translucent (less opaque) and offers high gloss too.It is for our special FDA approved food compliant antistatic coating recipe that the film exhibits excellent machinability on printing and twist wrap machines. The film can be surface printed or can be metalized for that matter as per the requirements of the buyer. The unprinted substrate by itself can also be readily used by the brands to twist wrap their candies/ confectioneries.”
Explaining more about the new film, Mr. Pramod Sirsamkar, President – Technical & New Product Development (Films), Uflex Limited said, “Besides having superior handling and high mechanical properties the film has a zero memory (i.e. excellent twist retention) and is eco-friendly. Since the density of the new substrate is lesser as compared to the conventional white twist wrap film, its yield is more. There is a promising demand for this new film in the European and CIS Countries and is gradually picking up in other continents too. Here one must note that the conventional white twist wrap film in its own right also has a great demand. It will be incorrect to say that the new film is a replacement of the conventional white twist wrap film. Both the films have well defined mutually exclusive markets. We formulated this film at our manufacturing plant in Dubai and can manufacture it at any of our locations.”

Host Analytics Expands R&D Presence in India, Investing USD 25 Million
